Awaiting Life collects the voices of unaccompanied youth who arrived in Sweden during 2015-2016. Their stories, alongside the testimonies of professionals and volunteers who met them through Save the Children Sweden’s programs, show how the so-called “new gymnasium law” often proves itself unattainable. The report focuses on four recurring themes: health, education, work, and shelter.
The report recommends actions for municipal, regional, and national leadership.
