Humanitarian Action for Children 2021: West and Central Africa

67 million people – 37 million of whom are children – in the West and Central Africa region are in need of humanitarian assistance. Additional pressure on already overburdened social services due to the COVID-19 pandemic is worsening the situation of vulnerable populations. This appeal describes the difficulties in the West and Central African region, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
