Over 9.3 million people are facing complex, intersecting challenges in Sudan. Malnutrition is widespread due to the economic crisis, flooding remains threatening people’s lives and ethnic tensions are erupting into violence. These challenges are exacerbated with different diseases including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This appeal describes the ongoing difficulties in Sudan, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
