Humanitarian Action for Children 2021: Somalia

Due to flooding, desert locusts and the COVID-19 pandemic, 5.9 million people – 3.9 million of whom are children – will need humanitarian assistance during 2021 in Somalia. The conflict within Somalia is also increasing children’s vulnerability to protection violations. This appeal describes the difficulties in Somalia, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
