Libya is facing a protracted armed conflict, and political and economic crises. These crises has been exacerbated with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in almost 1.2 million people – 348,000 whom are children – in need of humanitarian assistance. Public services such as education and health care have also been impacted in a negative way by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This appeal describes the ongoing crises in Libya, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
