The conflict that was ongoing 2014 – 2017 in Iraq resulted in over 6 million people living in displacement. 5.6 million people, including 2.6 million children are in need of humanitarian assistance in Iraq. These challenges are exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This appeal describes the challenges faced in Iraq, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
