Conflict-induced displacements, destructive rains, floods and loss of crops are some of the challenges Chad is facing. The school closures due to COVID-19 pandemic are affecting over 3 million children. Chad also struggles with global acute malnutrition amongst 1.8 million children under the age of 5, and over 300,000 refugee children at risk of not being vaccinated. This appeal describes the critical situation in Chad, and the strategies used by UNICEF to respond to these.
