Young Lives
This Young Lives policy brief emphasizes the need for a greater understanding of how gender inequalities appear and form during adolescence, and what causes inequality to shift and persist in different ways within and between countries.
By using a unique data set that tracks the same children over a long period of time, Young Lives is able to look at different countries and analyse how education, poverty, and violence intertwine and influence the appearance and perpetuation of gender inequalities in adolescence. It then provides a brief look at the implications for policy development in each of the key areas of: education, youth skills and jobs, reproductive health, and violence prevention.
