Save the Children
The concept of “Education for All” entails ensuring that all children have access to basic education of good quality. The FRESH framework, first initiated by WHO, UNICEF, and the World Bank, forms a starting point for programme designs of school health and nutrition interventions around the world. Save the Children is also using the FRESH framework to implement its School Health and Nutrition (SHN) model in 25 countries around the world. The aim of these programmes is to improve health and education status of school-age children.
This book is developed as a resource to support facilitators in both formal and non-formal settings to effectively implement the Child-Focused Health Education programme initiatives.
