These guidelines provide direction on how to include children and young people in research, both as research participants and, particularly, as research ‘owners.’ The document explains how children and young people can be involved in all stages of research, from planning to dissemination, and discusses the ethics of involving children and young people. While these guidelines are Intended for researchers who are considering involving children and young people in their research projects, they would also be useful for program managers who have research, including monitoring and evaluation, being conducted on project constituents who are children and young people.
