Guidelines for Protecting the Rights of Women and Girls During the COVID-19 Pandemic

All measures taken to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic must ensure and uphold human rights. States should also ensure that their response is gender-sensitive by including approaches that guarantee the rights of women and girls to live free from violence and discrimination, and to access the essential health services that they need. 

This document can be used as guidance for national and local government authorities to better understand how they must work to ensure the rights of women and girls during the COVID-19 pandemic.
