This document provides guidance for Save the Children Country Offices on how to count the number of children and adults reached directly or indirectly from its programs. Save the Children country office staff should us the table provided as a guide to determine reach for each emergency response. In this initial table, children and adults reached should be double-counted for thematic areas such as educating, health, and protection, and again for general relief, shelter, food aid, and preparedness activities. These duplications will be eliminated on the summary reporting form to reach the final estimate for each country. Senior management or Emergency management should complete these estimate on an annual basis.
