Gandhi Devi is a tea plucker on Elkaduwa Tea Estate in Matale, Sri Lanka. Devi struggles to balance her tea plucking obligations with her household chores and caring for her two children: Thirijan, 8, and Kaveeshan, 4.
Devi and her family live in one of the project locations of Save the Children’s Good Nutrition on Tea Estates project. Save the Children visited the family three times to learn what families living and working on the tea estates are willing to do to improve women and children’s nutrition.
