The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of ending poverty by 2030 is central to many humanitarian organizations. It is also recognized that reducing child poverty is central to achieving this goal. This, however, requires routine reporting of poverty to measure progress.
This note describes the characteristics of children living in poverty. It also includes an analysis disaggregated by geographic region, income group and residence in fragile or conflict-affected countries.
