Generation Hope Goals 2.0 (2025–2026) was the second edition of a regional initiative led by Save the Children, UN ESCAP, UNDP, Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, YECAP, UNFCCC RCC Asia-Pacific, and ChildFund International to position children and young people as active drivers of climate action across Asia-Pacific.
Running from August 2025 to February 2026, the programme drew over 350 applications from 1,400 youth aged 14–24, narrowed through sub-regional selection to 25 shortlisted projects, and culminated in a live final at the 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development in Bangkok. Five winning teams were recognized, led by Bangladesh’s Eco Sentinels for BrineAway, a nature-based water filtration system that cuts salinity by up to 85% using local materials and a women-led distribution model, alongside youth-led solutions from Nepal, Vanuatu, Vietnam, and Indonesia addressing climate education, ecosystem restoration, community resilience, and eco-anxiety.
The initiative prioritized gender inclusivity and representation from climate-vulnerable communities under a “Leave No One Behind” approach. Findings reinforced that youth-led, holistic, and locally grounded solutions can scale regionally when supported by multi-stakeholder collaboration — pointing toward an expanded third edition focused on deeper mentorship, funding, and policy integration.
