There has been an influx of women migrants seeking work and improved lives in other countries. While the outcome of migration has been beneficial for many, it also carries certain risks. Female migrants become more vulnerable exploitation and abuse. If handled well, this trend comes with new opportunities for development. However, it also presents certain new challenges.
This manual has been developed to build gender-capacity analysis for those working with migrants in the field. It seeks to inspire thinking and action around migrants in a gender- and rights-based perspective. The manual includes a facilitator’s guide and four training guides, available in both English and Spanish.
