Save the Children Sierra Leone
In 2019, Save the Children implemented a 3-year project called ‘Genda Biznes’ aimed to empower adolescents and increase their ability to challenge social and gender norms that influence adolescent pregnancy and sexual and reproductive health rights in Sierra Leone. It also aimed to increase the uptake of sexual and reproductive health services, economically empower households to reduce the risk of adolescent pregnancy and increase the capacity of four civil society organisations to deliver similar programming in the future.
This report details findings from the project which reached over 9300 adolescents and proposes some recommendations.
