GBV Case Management and the COVID-19 Pandemic

Over the last months, there has been an increase in reports of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the countries most affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. For example, domestic organizations have noticed that extended quarantine and other social distancing measures have increased the reports of domestic violence. In addition to this, there are reports of a growing number of attacks on female healthcare workers. Given this increase in reports of GBV, it is crucial to continue to ensure that women and girls have access to GBV support services. 

This document aims to provide practical support to practitioners to adapt GBV case management service delivery models in an efficient and correct way during the COVID-19 pandemic.
