This report provides the findings of baseline survey commissioned by Save the children and conducted by MozTarget as part of TLHANGANISA (FSL-MNCH) project. With funding from the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development (AICS) through Save the Children Italy, Save the Children Mozambique, is implementing this project in Mabalane, Mapai, Massingir districts of Gaza Province. The overall, objective of the project is to Improve the nutrition, health and resilience of household with a focus on pregnant and breastfeeding women, children under 5, and adolescents and youths, in the project implementation districts. The project will implement a robust package of life skills, livelihoods, health, and DRR activities in the same communities where agriculture activities are currently underway (with funding from another donor, BHA) in order to strengthen the overall resilience of these rural, vulnerable households.

The purpose of the survey was to establish baseline values for the project key outcome indicators to help Save the Children to have a better understanding of the current context (needs and opportunities) that exist in project targeted communities and also to provide concrete evidence to have a better understanding of the crucial FSL-MNCH issues in the targeted area.
