From Commitments to Action: Progress report 2017-2018

This progress report compiles data shared by 29 of the 33 signatory organisations to the Charter of Change (C4C). It covers the aspects of progress, challenges, good practices, and learning as identified by signatories. As part of the report, signatories were also asked to self-rate their compliance to the commitments as outlined in the charter.

The 8 commitments of the Charter for Change are as follow:

1. Increase direct funding to
   southern-based NGOs for humanitarian action
2. Increase transparency around
   resource transfers to southern-based national and
   local NGOs
3. Principles of partnership
4. Stop undermining local capacity
5. Emphasize the importance of
   national actors
6. Equality in programme design and decision-making
7. Robust organisational support
   and capacity strengthening
8. Promoting the role of partners to
   the media and the public
