In Sierra Leone, Save the Children, in partnership with the Budget Advocacy Network, Oxfam and World Vision International, has undertaken a nationwide health and sanitation budget-tracking exercise. Together they looked at what investments are being made in health and sanitation, from national ministry level down to local councils, district health teams, hospitals health units. This budget-tracking report highlights a number of issues that the government needs to address at the national level – along with action needs to be taken at the local level – if the health and sanitation services in Sierra Leone are to develop and grow stronger.
