This publication presents an overview of policies and programmes that promote or facilitate the involvement of fathers and father-figures from the pre-natal period through the first eight years of their children’s lives.
Among the conclusions drawn from the analysis, this publication finds a lack of research and data collection on fathers’ involvement in child development. The authors hazard that further quantitative research to bolster the qualitative and descriptive data would greatly aid and augment programme planning and development. The full study can be found here: Fatherhood: Parenting Programmes and Policy. A Critical Review of Best Practice
