Save the Children
Save the Children is committed to ensuring the survival and well-being of children and their mothers, and knows that critical to a woman’s survival is access to quality and comprehensive maternal and reproductive health care.
Access to effective, voluntary and safe family planning is vital to the health and survival of women, children, and adolescents. It is a fundamental component of the right to health and a necessary pre-requisite for women’s rights and gender equality.
This policy brief, on the behalf of Save the Children UK alongside the UK Family Planning Summit in 2017, argues the importance of sexual and reproductive health and rights to reduce maternal and child mortality and the exclusion of poorest and marginalised populations.
