Factors for Defining Categorization

This document is to be used as a reference when determining whether or not Save the Children responds to a humanitarian crisis. Country Office staff should gather as much reliable and triangulated information as possible for each of the factors listed in the document. This information should be used to provide a sound recommendation to the Emergency Management Group/Regional Emergency Management group on whether or not Save the Children should respond. This document should be read along with the categorization procedure.
