From 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022, Save the Children (SC) Iceland collaborated with the SC Country Office in Sierra Leone to implement the pilot project Say No To Violence (SNTV). The project was to be implemented in ten target schools and attached communities in Pujehun District in the southeastern part of Sierra Leone. It was a follow-up to the project Building Futures for Children (BFC), funded by a private donor through SC Spain in the 2018-2021 period. At termination, the BFC had built and renovated ten schools in the project area with Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities at each location.
