For nearly four decades, Thailand has served as a refuge for people fleeing conflict in Myanmar. Following the 2021 military coup and the 2024 conscription law, displacement has intensified, placing unprecedented pressure on education systems along the Thailand–Myanmar border. A mixed-methods survey of 2,464 respondents (students, parents, teachers, and officials), conducted between late 2025 and early 2026, highlights a system under strain, particularly within temporary shelters and Migrant Learning Centers (MLCs).
