Stability through Support (StS) is an early intervention and prevention project that works alongside boys aged 9-12 years, fostering engagement in education and preparing participants for a successful transition to high school. Through a combination of focused group activities and individual mentoring, the StS project uses a strengths-based approach to foster identity building, mentees’ capacity to make positive and informed life choices, and to self-regulate emotions leading to a reduction in violent and anti-social behaviours.

This report is an evaluation of the Stability through Support project conducted in two Communities for Children sites in Sydney. The evaluation was conducted between November 2016 and January 2017 as a partnership between Save the Children Australia and the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) at the University of New South Wales.
