The main objective of the end line evaluation was to estimate changes in the key immunization-related indicators at the community and Health Facility level compared to the finding of baseline study that was conducted at the beginning of the program. The Evaluation followed a mixed-method study design involving both qualitative and qualitative data. The sample size for the quantitative part was calculated based on the recommendation of the revised Vaccination Coverage Surveys Manual of the WHO.
The study identified that the program was effective in terms of improving the knowledge and attitude of the community towards the importance of childhood vaccination as well as generating the demand for child immunization. in this regard, among children aged 12-23 months, 58.3% has received all the basic vaccinations. when compared with baseline figure, a considerable improvement (30%) in the coverage of all basic vaccination was noted.
