Save the Children Ethiopia
Ethiopia faces overlapping humanitarian crises driven by protracted conflict, recurrent climate shocks, and widespread displacement, severely disrupting livelihoods and limiting access to essential services such as food, healthcare, education, and shelter for millions of vulnerable people.
In response, the Ethiopian Cash Consortium (ECC), led by Save the Children alongside six experienced partners, implemented a 22-month project funded by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO). The project delivered rapid, dignified, and flexible Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), targeting the most vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons, returnees, migrants, refugees, and host communities in conflict- and drought- affected areas across seven regions.
