There are millions of children living in internal displacement, many of which do not have access to education and thus cannot benefit from the long-term opportunities it affords. Exiting barriers to education include a lack of capacity and resources, persistent insecurity, social tensions and discrimination.
This policy brief presents governments, humanitarian and development actors with information on the most significant challenges internally displaced children face in exercising their right to education, as well as with recommendations on how this issue can best be tackled through the implementation of specific policies and services.
