Released as part of UNICEF’s #ENDviolence global initiative, this report provides examples of effective programmes to address violence against children at home, school, work, the community at large, and social spaces created by mobile and online technology. The main objective of this report is to “…connect decision-makers and relevant actors with strategies that prevent and respond to violence in the lives of children”.
The six strategies “to prevent and respond to violence against children” are a culmination of decades of UNICEF work and experience in the field of child protection. They were developed to be a baseline, systematic approach for programmers, governments, and all other actors involved in child protection projects and policy development. The accompanying case studies are examples of effective, innovative programming; they are accompanied by additional resources and links for further study.
