This project is investing in service provision and service providers along with a greater focus on trust building and collaboration between communities and local authorities for enhancing participation of communities in decision-making. Education project including youth engagement, youth and child Protection is a part of ACE project and it was being undertaken by Save the Children International (SCI) Myanmar in one township in Mon state, one township in Shan, one township in Kayin and one township in Kaya state. The project goal is “Vulnerable communities are empowered to engage in local decision-making processes”. Primary activities to cover project goal are improving education access and service, strengthening community participation and strengthening local governance system.

ACESM project is consortium project and SCI is leading education, youth engagement, and child and youth protection initiatives. SCI implemented the education and CRG program to achieve the outcomes of ACE project as a technical partner in Thanbyuzayat, Kyainnseikegyi, Pekhon and Demoso Townships. The total 160 villages have been covered in four townships and SCI have planned to extend 10 new villages in each township in 2022. Even though SCI could extend 41 villages,10 old villages were dropped out due to the political crisis. So, 191 villages form four townships (around 48 villages per each township) had covered in this end line evaluation had covered in this end line evaluation. The target beneficiaries are Primary school children, Parents, Village Education Committee, Youth volunteers, Ethnic education service provider, Local partners and implementing partners under all ACE project areas.
