Empowering Children and young people in the community in Cambodia

An example of good practice of Save the Children’s local NGO partner’s work in Cambodia. Children and Life Association (CLA) – an organization that aims to protect and prevent children from exploitation and abuse – creates community level child protection networks focused on child leadership. Helping to create parent’s groups and village level child protection networks, CLA has been able to raise awareness on risky trafficking, as well as prevent potential trafficking cases. They also develop child and youth leaders to communicate lessons about child rights to their communities helping to strengthen village responses for vulnerable children.
