Street Child
This report outlines Street Child’s programming efforts in Ukraine during 2022, marking the organisation’s first engagement in Eastern Europe. With no prior regional experience, Street Child successfully established impactful collaborations with local Ukrainian charities. Central to Street Child’s approach is the identification and holistic support of grassroots organisations—providing financial, technical, strategic, and moral assistance. Early in the conflict, Street Child received key recommendations that led to partnerships with inspiring local NGOs. In the initial, highly volatile phase of the war, Street Child offered unrestricted funding, empowering these organisations to respond swiftly and autonomously to emerging needs. This flexible support model proved critical in enabling locally driven, high-impact humanitarian responses.
