Education Under Threat in West and Central Africa

In this report, UNICEF calls on governments, parties to conflict and the international community to take concerted action to stop attacks and threats against schools, students and children in West and Central Africa.

With facts, figures, as well as testimonies of children, UNICEF highlights the extent and gravity of the issue in the region, detailing different areas of concern as well as the consequences to children’s wellbeing.

Finally, this report proposes measures that governments and other relevant actors can take to mitigate threats and support quality learning for every child.
