Education Safe from Disasters: Strategy Progress Report

More than 35.6 million children’s lives are expected to be disrupted by disasters in the Asia-Pacific region each year going forward. The Education Safe from Disasters strategy seeks to reduce preventable deaths due to disasters, and ensure children have access to quality education in the safest possible environment. We aim to prepare and strengthen systems to reach an ambitious 0/0 goal – zero children killed or injured at school during a disaster and zero days of school lost due to disaster.
