Unaccompanied children in migration require specific and appropriate protection. They are in a state of particular vulnerability due to their age, distance from home, and separation from parents or carers. It is crucial that these vulnerabilities are taken into consideration.
This guidance on reception conditions for unaccompanied children was created by the European Asylum Support Office in order to support the development of reception tools, but also to enable the planning and provision of adequate care for children on the move.
