Save the Children Pakistan
This report presents the findings of the endline evaluation for the Early Recovery Assistance for Disaster Affectees project in Sindh Pakistan, with a specific focus on education, child protection, WASH at schools and Food Security. The evaluation, conducted to assess the project’s impact, compares the endline results with the baseline findings. Additionally, the interventions were evaluated using the OECD DAC criteria, considering relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability. Key findings indicate significant improvements in educational access, child protection mechanisms, WASH facilities at schools and food security along with recommendations for future program enhancements and sustainability strategies.
During this evaluation six indicators based on the humanitarian assistance provided to the target communities were assessed. The target communities reported satisfaction over the humanitarian assistance provided to them in an accessible, participatory and accountable manner. Children enrolled at the targeted schools were retained and provided with learning materials to enhance their learning outcomes. Mental Health and Psychosocial sessions were provided at school level to maintain the psychosocial wellbeing of children. A significant portion of participants reported improved well-being at the end of the project. Vulnerable households were provided with multi-purpose cash assistance to meet their basic needs which showed a significant improvement of households with reduced coping strategies to meet their basic needs.
