E-vouchers in Yemen: Field experiences and lessons learned

This presentation covers Yemen’s experience in transitioning from paper vouchers to electronic vouchers in the initial e-voucher pilot programme. The aim of the programme was to improve food security and resilience in 150 communities across Sana’a and Dhamar Governorates by digitalizing the distribution and processing of food vouchers. Through an evaluation of the program, they found that e-vouchers contributed to:

• A quicker transaction time for beneficiaries
• Improved records of voucher distribution
• Greater accessibility to resources by beneficiaries during times of conflict
