Online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA) is a growing concern, particularly as the COVID-19 paused caused a great shift to online activities for children and youth.

ECPAT International developed ‘survivor conversations’ approach to ensure young people are active participants in research on OCSEA.

Thirty-three conversations were held with female and male youth who had been subjected to OCSEA in Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Their accounts are insightful and crucial to understanding the impact of OCSEA and prevention and protection needs.

Country reports and further insights can be found at ECPAT International.
