Disaster Risk Reduction in the Education Sector: Cambodia

To ensure that children are able to return to school as quickly as possible, Save the Children and the Ministry of Education in Cambodia, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) have been working together and providing technical support in the setting up of Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS); the distribution of back-to-school kits; training teachers on how to best support children in the wake of disasters; and establishing cash-for-work programs to clean and repair damaged schools, water-points and latrines.

This poster provides a brief description of Save the Children’s programmes on Disaster Risk Reduction in the education sector in Cambodia.
