Disaster Risk Reduction in the Education Sector: Bangladesh

Save the Children in Bangladesh has pioneered innovative training modules using life skills to educate children about risks and risk reduction. In rural areas, participatory rural appraisal approaches, and in urban areas town watch and school vulnerability assessments are engaging youth, and are being linked to education management information systems to improve risk reduction planning and response preparedness.

This poster provides a brief description of Save the Children’s programmes on Disaster Risk Reduction in the education sector in Bangladesh.
