This material details USAID’s Agency for All Project’s efforts to develop a Contraceptive Acceptability measure to enhance family planning programs in Cameroon and Kenya. The project aims to create a person-centered tool to better support reproductive agency by understanding factors influencing contraceptive use. Key activities include literature reviews, formative research, framework development, and psychometric testing. Findings emphasize the importance of contraceptive acceptability, the influence of contraceptive agency, and the need to contextualize vaccine hesitancy models for contraceptive behaviors. The project seeks to capture the spectrum of factors affecting contraceptive demand, enabling tailored family planning programs to support self-determined reproductive goals.
