Delivering life-saving nutrition and protection services to conflict-affected households in Borno State, Nigeria

Save the Children International implemented the immediate and life-saving International Humanitarian Assistance (IHA) Project in Borno State, Nigeria from April 2018 to March 2020. The Global Affairs Canada (GAC) funded project “Delivering lifesaving nutrition and protection services to conflict-affected households in Borno State” had the ultimate goal of reducing vulnerability among malnourished girls and boys under 5, pregnant and lactating women and girls (PLW/G), survivors of sexual and gender based violence (SGBV), unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) and female and male adolescent heads of household (AHH) – affected by the conflict in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria. With the delivery of life-saving humanitarian services, the project directly reached 113,158 beneficiaries (49,589 girls; 44,491 boys; 16110 women; and 2,968 men) with nutrition and child protection services. An end –line evaluation was carried out to provide evidence on the outcome of the intervention as outlined in the project monitoring and evaluation plan. The lessons learnt from this evaluation, intended and unintended will be documented and integrated into future programs
