Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading: Ending corporal punishment in penal systems for children

This report, published by the Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children and Save the Children, identifies both the 38 states where children maybe be lawfully, physically punished, as well as some of the many immediate opportunities for achieving prohibition of these violent practices.

Corporal punishment of children in penal systems is still legal in 78 states as of January 2015. The report provides advocacy measures and information on prohibiting lawful corporal punishment of children in penal systems.
