This publication supplements the general report ‘Vulnerabilities, Violence and Serious Child Rights Violations – Report on the impact of the post-election crisis on the protection of children in Côte d’Ivoire’. The purpose of this region- based analysis is not to make comparisons between the regions with respect to skews in monitoring and reporting, but to highlight each area’s profile in terms of child rights violations. The profile of the six regions ( Lagunes, Savanes, Vallée du Bandama, Moyen Cavally, Montagnes and Zanzan) with the highest individual cases of child rights violations brings out the link with the crisis and the clashes; regions where protection risks are more structural but are worsened by the context, and regions where protection risks are more circumstantial due to the post-election conflict in Côte d’Ivoire. Ratio and number of children victims per type of violations are listed for each region.
