Conducting a Situational Analysis: A Guide for Save the Children’s Sponsorship Programs

The purpose of a situation analysis (SitAn) is to understand the context in which children and families live, as well as their needs and strengths. It is also a process of critically evaluating the internal and external conditions that affect an organization, which is undertaken prior to a new initiative or project. This guide was designed for any staff or partners involved in conducting the sponsorship situational analysis.
