Collective Action to End Violence Against Children: End of Project Evaluation Report (Fiji, 2025)

The Collective Action to End Violence Against Children (CAEVAC) project, implemented by Save the Children Fiji, aimed to reduce violence against children by strengthening systems and empowering communities and children. Operating across 24 communities in Fiji’s Central Division from 2021 to 2025, CAEVAC used a systems-strengthening approach rooted in community engagement, positive parenting, and child participation. The project achieved meaningful improvements in key outcome indicators related to parenting, child participation, and community-based protection practices. The data showed increased caregiver awareness of positive discipline, with more parents reporting confidence in using positive parenting techniques and a reduced reliance on physical or verbal punishment. Children demonstrated stronger understanding of their rights and identified more trusted adults in their communities, reflecting greater awareness and support structures.
