The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have released a publication titled “Climate Change Starter’s Guidebook,” which is intended to serve as a starting point for mainstreaming climate change education into school curricula. Aimed towards education planners and practitioners, the Guidebook is intended to provide support in developing the understanding of the science of climate change, observed and anticipated impacts, and possible responses. The Guidebook also covers the social and human aspects of climate change, including gender, health, migration, poverty and ethics, and highlights political and economic issues.
