This report summarizes the discussions from The Third World Child & Youth Forum (WCYF) under the theme “Children’s Rights – any of your business?”, which took place at the Royal Palace of Stockholm, 22 March 2013, in the presence of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden. The Forum, which brought together 350 participants representing 16 countries, was a stock-taking  event for the Children’s Rights and Business Principles.

The first Global CEO Survey on Child  Rights and Business was presented and the role of states on the impact of business on children’s  rights was also covered, including the recently adopted General Comment No 16 on States obligations regarding the impact of business on the rights of the child. Breakout sessions provided deeper insights into youth employment, water  and sanitation, as well as real-life examples of how business can move from policy commitment to  practical implementation to support children’s rights.
